Massage Practice I: Application and Theory (45 hours lecture/lab) Knowledge, understanding and use of appropriate medical terminology. Learn correct positioning of clients for application of general massage techniques. Learn appropriate draping of patients for privacy. Apply principles of good posture and body mechanics to reduce the risk of injury to practitioner and client. Learn consistent application of basic principles for documentation of massage applications. Explain rationale and learn correct use of superficial heat and cold. Explain and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of anatomical relationships significant for competent performance of massage.
